Kim Kardashian To Get Wax Figure At Madame Tussaud Museum!

Today is about the come up- Dawn Richard is no longer classified as "unpolished," Drake has a plane named after him, and now reality television star Kim Kardashian revealed that she will be getting her own wax figure at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York City. According to some media outlets, a lot of stars are not happy with this announcement because they feel that she hasn't earned it- Basically, what does Kim do exactly? She is only a reality star. We can say whatever we want but Kim is a money machine. And we need to get with the program, reality television is in, has been in, and these people are celebrities. Bottom line. Anyway, this is what Kim had to say about this new venture.

The 29-year-old will be joining the likes of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, among others, who all have their own wax statues, reports showbizspy.com.

"I've been keeping you guys in the dark about my big announcement and teasing you with my tweets. But I can finally reveal that I am getting my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in New York City," Kardashian posted on her blog, Tuesday.

"This is one of the greatest honours ever and I am so thrilled and excited. Now I will never have to leave New York. I've officially gone bi-coastal," she wrote.

Rapper Drake should have a lot to celebrate his days. Not only is his album doing well on the charts, he recently had a Virgin Airline plane named after him. Sir Richard Branson launched his first Virgin flight between Toronto and Cali cities yesterdat. And of course, Drake was on hands for the celebration. "Air Drake"- that's bananas! Congrats!

Zoe Saldana To Wed Long-Time Boyfriend!

Actress Zoe Saldana will make things official as she is set to marry her long-time boyfriend Keith Britton. The couple have been together for ten years (wow- long time).

The "Losers" star is engaged to her long-time boyfriend Keith Britton, UsWeekly.com reports.

A source tells the gossip Web site that the 32-year-old Jersey girl "is thrilled" about her upcoming nuptials.

"They’ve been together forever," the source told UsWeekly.com. "They're a great couple."

The 32-year-old "Avatar" star has been quietly dating her boyfriend, the CEO of My Fashion Database, for ten years.

"She doesn't even introduce him as her fiancé," another source told the gossip Web site. "She likes to keep her personal life to herself and wants people to focus on her as an actress."

Larry King To Retire!

Larry King, CNN host, one of the best interviewers of all times took to Twitter today to announce that he will retire as host of the Larry King Live Show later this year. I'm very happy for him because I felt it was time (let's be real, love Larry, but he got a lot of names mixed up these last couple of years, #imjustsaying).

"I want to share some personal news with you. 25 years ago, I sat across this table from New York Governor Mario Cuomo for the first broadcast of Larry King Live. Now, decades later, I talked to the guys here at CNN and I told them I would like to end Larry King Live, the nightly show, this fall and CNN has graciously accepted, giving me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games," King wrote.

"I'm incredibly proud that we recently made the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest running show with the same host in the same time slot. With this chapter closing I'm looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it's time to hang up my nightly suspenders."

"He will end his run with Larry King Live on his own terms, sometime this fall," said Jon Klein, president of CNNUS. "Larry is a beloved member of the CNN family and will continue to contribute to our air with periodic specials."

Singer Lauryn Hill Breaks Her Silence!

Singer Lauryn Hill gave a rare interview (wonder if it was storming out when she gave that interview...) after a recent performance in Santa Rosa, CA. Check it:

Why did she stop recording? "There were a number of different reasons," she explains.

"But partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it."

The platinum-selling star also takes aim at the music industry, suggesting it didn't nurture her with enough care or patience: "Oftentimes," Hill says, "the machine can
overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society. ... And it's important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected."

Not that Hill hasn't kept herself busy the past 11 years.

"I don't know if you know this, but I have five children," she tells NPR. Her children's dad is Hill's longtime love, Rohan Marley, son of the late reggae legend Bob Marley.

"The youngest is 2 now, so she's old enough that I can leave her for a period of time and know she's going to be
okay."

"I think it's just time," to start performing again, she adds.

"I'm starting to get excited again. Believe it or not, I think what people are attracted to about me, if anything, is my passion. People got exposed to my passion through music and song first. ... And I think that can be infectious."

Chris Brown's MJ Tribute at 2010 BET Awards!

I didn't catch the BET Awards last night (thank God for TVO) but the net has been buzzin' about Chris Brown's emotional tribute to Michael Jackson. He was picked by the Jacksons to pay homage to the late King of Pop. Gotta give it to Chris, he brought the house down. Last year the tribute that BET put out-- uhh let's just say DEAD.

Chris has had a rocky past year but we have to learn to forgive. If he's doing his best and is getting the proper help for his issues, we have to move forward. Check out the video. According to a lot of people, this was the best performance of the evening. Check it out:

I know it's been a long time coming. Sorry peeps. Check out part II of my in-depth interview with Basketball Wives' Evelyn Lozada:

Let's talk style. You are definitely on my watch for style- the clothes, the bags, and especially the shoes. Are you one who mixes it up, high and low brand or are you strictly a designers kind of gal? Who would you regard as some of your favorite designers?
Contrary to popular belief, I definitely mix it up. Some of my favorite designers are Diane Von Furstenberg, Nanette Lepore, Alexander Wang, Wayne Lee for clothes. I will throw on a Forever 21 top with some Louboutins (my kind of chick). It's all about how you accessorize. As far as shoes, I can't live without my Louboutins [laughs]- Francesco Sacco, Georgina Goodman, YSL are a few of my favorites.

Can we expect an “Evelyn Lozada” Fashion line in the future?

That is definitely something that I would love to dabble into eventually.

Your shoe store offers some of the most beautiful and different shoes. Would you ever consider opening another shoe store catering to the average woman (not so expensive)?

I would definitely consider opening up a mid-range shoe store for women. Maybe that will be my next venture. Right now, my business partner [Rebecca Brothers] and I are working ardently to take Dulce to the next level.

Fan questions

If today Antoine would change (no more cheating, no more gambling) would you consider going back with him and continue what you guys started? You had 10 years invested or do you think it’s a done deal?
My relationship with him is a done deal, but my family and I will always have love for him.

Do you see yourself as a stronger woman now that you are doing your own thing without Antoine's help?

My mom raised us to be strong women. I've always considered myself to be strong; even before Antoine.

Any regrets about anything that you have gone through?

I don't live with regrets. I'm a true believer that everything happens for a reason.

After the break up, when did you first get over the withdrawals from being with someone for so long or are you still going through it? If so, how hard has it been to go through it in the public eye?
It was very difficult going through a break-up while I was filming Basketball Wives- hence the tears on every other episode [laughs]. I'm now over it and I've moved on.

What advice would you give to women who are in conflicted relationships and don't know how to get out?
When you are in a relationship, you shouldn't feel conflicted. If you are, that's a sign that you need to move on. Putting God first and prayer is what got me through my situation.

Are you actively dating now or are you taking a break?
I don't know about actively [laughs], but definitely open to dating [laughs].

Basketball Wives' Evelyn Lozada Hosts Fashion In The City!

Yesterday, the crew and I attended the "Fashion In The City" event presented by BeautyChronicles.com and Plum TV hosted by none other than VH1's reality television star/owner of Dulce shoe boutique, the lovely Evelyn Lozada (Shout out to Ysset Boan of Scene PR for the invite). The event was held at the Catalina Hotel on South Beach. Although it was blazin', (when I say blazin', I mean blazin') guests were able to take in some of the latest summer trends from local designers and boutique owners- doing all of this while sipping on cocktails and nibbling on some mini cupcakes (you know MitchAug loooves herself some cupcakes). DJ Anthony Pisano was on the 1s and 2s while some models strutted their stuff on the rooftop runaway. Celebrities such as Al Reynolds, Golden Brooks (Maya from Girlfriends- Yes I lost it when I ran into her in the elevator-on my groupie stance and not ashamed to admit it), Black Dada, Ace Hood, R&B singer Mashonda were all in the building.
