Beyonce Part Ways With Dad As Manager!

Yesterday, singer Beyonce announced via her publicist that she had parted ways with her dad as manager emphasizing that it was a mutual decision.

"I've only parted ways with my father on a business level," Beyonce said in a statement Monday. "He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me."

Matthew Knowles had managed her daughter's career from her start in the multi-platinum selling trio, Destiny's Child, in the late 1990s through her phenomenal success as a solo artist: three blockbuster solo CDs, 16 Grammy awards and appearances in well-received movies, such as "Dreamgirls."

"The decision for Beyonce and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual," Matthew Knowles said. "We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment."

He said his record label will focus on its roster of artists in the gospel and inspirational genre. "Business is business and family is family," Matthew Knowles said. "I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success."

I guess it's finally official because we have heard this rumor for so long.

Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. Slated For Number One Spot!

Despite the incident at GMA yesterday, Chris Brown's album F.A.M.E. which dropped yesterday is slated to open in the number one spot next week. It is estimated that the album will sell between 250-275 copies in it's first week of sales. Not bad for a comeback. This is the second largest opening for an album this year. It is also being reported that GMA has extended an invitation for Chris to return to the show (raises eyebrows).

I'm so copping that album tomorrow.

Basketball Wives' executive producer/cast member Shaunie O'Neal covers the latest issue of Rolling Out Magazine. In it, she dishes about her children, her beau Marlon Yates, and what legacy she hopes to leave behind:

“Every season we need to do something different…whether it’s someone leaving [or] someone coming, but I can’t tell you.[...]I didn’t put myself out there and on TV just to be on a reality show. Mitchsdailydish Outlook On The Latest Chris Brown Issue!

By now, everyone should have heard or read about the incident involving singer Chris Brown when he visited Good Morning America yesterday. My inbox was flooding with emails Quick recap- Chris Brown was there to promote his album F.A.M.E. which dropped yesterday (sidebar- his album is #1 on Itunes). He performed then sat down with host Robin Roberts who go into the who Rihanna incident which did not put Chris at ease. He kept deferring back to the album but Robin was persistent with the Rihanna questions. Allegedly, when Chris returned to his dressing room, he went off and supposedly even broke a window, then walked off to the streets without a shirt. He took to Twitter and had did to say: "I'm so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t" (He raises an interesting point). The tweet was later deleted.

Fast forward to today. Charges are not being pressed. We don't know if Chris actually broke the window. Robin reports that Chris' team had approved the questions so he knew what he was getting into. This is where I'm at with this situation. I'm so sick and tired of hearing about this incident with Chris and Rihanna. When will people get over it? The kid has done what was asked of him. What more do you want? He's a work in progress. Show me the person that's perfect. Let him LIVE. Geesh. On another hand, I think Chris needs to also get it together because you're a celebrity and unfortunately, you're under a microscope especially when you had such a major f*ck up. Keep your cool and keep it moving. Surround yourself with positive people (not only YES people) but most of all keep God first.

Elizabeth Taylor Dies At 79!

Legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor passed away of congestive heart failure in Los Angeles today. She was 79.

Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor, the violet-eyed film goddess whose sultry screen life was often upstaged by her stormy personal life, died Wednesday at age 79.

She died of congestive heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she had been hospitalized for about six weeks, publicist Sally Morrison said.

"All her children were with her," Morrison said.

R.I.P. Elizabeth. You now can dance with your BFF Michael Jackson.

Please say it isn't so. It is being reported that my favorite BBWife will not be returning for Season 3. If you follow the show, this past Sunday on the season finale, it went down like popcorn between Evelyn and Tami. The ladies came to blows after Evelyn told Tami that she had dated her ex-husband in the past. Evelyn has also received a lot of backlash from this recent occurrence. Sources close to the reality star tell us ... Evelyn feels producers violated her trust by allegedly divulging sensitive information about an illicit relationship she had in the past.

We're told Evelyn believes producers leaked the information to a female cast member in an effort to incite a violent confrontation between the two women on the show.

We're told Evelyn feels completely betrayed and even fired off an email to producers... saying she wants to leave the show for good.

Evelyn has not released an official statement.

Whether you love or hate her, Evelyn is the star of Basketball Wives. Let's keep it 100. Most people watch because of her. It will be sad to see her go but if this is true, I wish her all the luck. I don't think this is the last that we've seen of Ms. Lozada. Will you still watch if Evelyn leaves BBWives?

What The Fudge Ball? Waka Flocka For Peta!

I know Peta is about their no fur movement, yadi, yadi, ya but ummm... is it me or this ad is just not appealing? Rapper Waka Flocka poses for Peta and I must say that this has to be one of the worst ones I've seen thus far. That body, those damn toes- That's what you call hammer time. God help the photographer. Bye Waka! Everytime I scroll up, I don't feel any chills running down my spine. I sure wouldn't give up fur by looking at this ad.

Basketball Wives' cast member Evelyn Lozada has been the talk of the blogs since the season finale aired this past Sunday. She has gotten a lot of backlash but that has not stopped her from taking care of business. Evelyn stepped out with fiance Chad Ochocinco Johnson last in NYC for Cosmopolitan Magazine's Fun Fearless Males of 2011 event. For the occasion, she donned a dress by Miami-based designer Rene Ruiz paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Shaunie O'Neal "I Didn't Start The Fight"

Shaunie O'Neal got the major side eye last night on Twitter during the season finale of Basketball Wives because people felt that she instigated the situation between Tami and Evelyn. Like I said in my recap, it wasn't necessary for Evelyn to tell Tami this ish during Jen's birthday dinner. Shaunie felt otherwise (telling Eve it was necessary to come clean NOW)- Well, she responds to her critics:

What are your thoughts on urging Evelyn to tell Tami about her affair with Kenny? That’s what precipitated their physical altercation. Do you feel like you started that fight?
I couldn’t start something I didn’t know. I didn’t know that about Evelyn. I didn’t know her in the days of Boston with Antoine playing. I didn’t meet Evelyn until he was traded to Miami. Before we brought Tami on the show, I talked to Evelyn and Jen, just to run it past them and to see if they knew her. It was kind of like, “I’ve heard of her,” no big deal. Since that was off camera and since we’re friends, that’s what I went off of. We taped the whole season and no one said anything to me about Kenny. When Evelyn finally told me [on this week's episode], it was so uncomfortable for me. I had a similar situation happen to me, and Tami just had spilled her guts about how she felt about all of us. She really seemed to have this bond with Evelyn. I felt awful, an immediate disgusting feeling. I figured that Tami probably thought we were the devil. She probably thought that because I’m friends with Evelyn and Jen, we had sat up there and held this secret from her. That’s not anything any woman wants to hear. I told Evelyn, “This should not have been held till now.”
There were a lot of mixed, confusing emotions going on at the table. I almost wished that Evelyn hadn’t told me, but since she did and since Tami had just cried about how much she loved us, it didn’t feel right to walk away from the situation carrying that secret, like, “I know something that probably will hurt your feelings, but let’s all leave this table and pretend like everything’s OK.” I wish it weren’t at Jen’s birthday dinner, but I don’t know how we could have walked away with a clear conscience. Did I hold a gun to Evelyn’s head and say, “You gotta go”? No. Did I think telling Tami was what she should have done? Yes. The only reason I went with her was to support both of them. I felt both sides. I felt Evelyn’s side of, “When is the right time to say that?” and I felt Tami’s side of hearing that. I never what have thought it would have turned into what it turned into. I think once Tami’s anger kicked in, Evelyn’s anger kicked in. And that’s when it went wrong. Had it been me, I would have let Tami be pissed off. She had a reason to get pissed off. I think Evelyn getting pissed off back at her is what sparked the whole thing. When Tami said, “It’s taking everything in me to keep from punching you in your face,” that’s when you knew she wasn’t planning on doing anything. She was just so hurt. The reaction should have been, “I understand, you should want to punch me in the face,” but Evelyn being Evelyn, it was instead, “F you!” It turned from what it was about to being about ego and pride and, “You’re not gonna talk to me like that.” I regret it happened that way at that moment. I never want my friends to fight. I would never want to cause anything like that. It was not my intention at all.

Tami aside for a second, were you upset with Evelyn that she’d waited to tell you about Kenny?
Yeah. I wasn’t pissed off, but it put everyone in a tough position. I know how it looks from the outside. I know how it looks for Evelyn’s reputation. The bottom line is I never would have imagined that it would come to a physical altercation. If I could redo the evening, I would rather not have heard it. People were saying that I started it. I didn’t think I started it. It wasn’t until people were saying that on Twitter that I thought about it: “Really? I started it? How?” I never brought that subject up. I told Evelyn she should tell Tami and I still think she should have. The emotional part of who got angry and how is so not my fault. I expected Tami to be mad, but I didn’t expect Evelyn to get mad at Tami for being mad at her. It was so stupid. I think Tami walked away pissed off at all of us. I think to this day, she thinks we all knew this secret and kept it from her. I’ve told Tami that I had no idea. I know she’s said, “I don’t trust any of these bitches.” I can only tell the truth; whether you believe me is on you.

Are you disappointed to go out on this kind of a note?
I am. We’re better than that. I wish we didn’t have to go out with a physical altercation. But it’s a mixed emotion. I wish we went out on a high note, but then you have fans who are like, “That was the best thing ever.” We all like to see a damn train wreck and somebody else fighting, but I don’t want to see my friends fighting, especially something like that. I did go to Evelyn and say, “I guess I made a bad decision of telling you to tell her then, because I didn’t know you would physically fight.” I think if they hadn’t physically fought and it went smoother than it did, I wouldn’t be seen as the villain here.

Any thoughts on your farewell Miami, in which multiple people confronted Royce? Evelyn called her a “mole.”
I know people have called that an “ambush,” but that was not what that was! The topic of Royce talking to both sides came up. It was never an ambush, it was never just about Royce and we talked about many other things. We left the party all talking. We took pictures together. Everyone was cool. It was just simple girl talk.

Any final thoughts on this season, going into the reunion?
I wish people would broaden their minds a little more. My lesson learned from this season is that some people are extremely narrow-minded. People still don’t understand that, yes this is reality TV, but you have to read between the lines and not take it so literally.

Shaunie I love you but boo, not a good call but hey we all make mistakes... Next time, let these grown women handle theirs.

Basketball Wives Season Finale Recap!

Lawdy Lord, it went down last night. VH1 aired the season finale of Basketball Wives and let me just say blows were flying, shade was being thrown and then some. DRUUUUUUUUUUUHMA with a capital D.

Here's my two cents. Was it necessary to divulge that type of information to Tami at Jen's birthday dinner? There is a time and place for everything. I fault Shaunie for this one- pushing Evelyn to tell that girl that stuff- (Evelyn looked uncomfortable as h*ll). Child Bye! I know I'm not behind-the-scenes and stuff is edited out but ummm...sorry wrong move. I'm sure RATINGS is involved but... not a good look. I look at both sides of the situation. I understand where Tami is coming from because any of these ladies would have had an issue had they been in her shoes. I know Tami can get her drink on and smoke her cigs and people want to portray her as crazy but she had a point. Sleeping with Kenny is not an issue (anyone that knows Kenny Anderson knows about his ways) for her but she was hurt at the fact that Evelyn had plenty of opportunities to talk to her about the situation and never did. I think what really drove her to the edge is when Evelyn said these few words : "You a non motherf*ckin factor b*tch." Oh boyyyyy! No bueno. Ms. Tami lost it and it was a wrap. Anybody would have lost their everlasting mind if someone dismisses you like that.

In looking at Evelyn's side. Maybe the reason that she never told Tami was because she probably didn't think that her and Tami would become close and she didn't feel the need to let her know. There is also a possibility that Kenny was also denying the fact that he was married. Athlete or not- we know how some dudes roll. Talk about they have problems at home, baby mother's on her way out, or they have to be in the home because of the kids. C'mon we've heard these stories before. Finally, maybe she should have taken that ish to her grave. We all have our skeletons.

Well, they will be definitely coming back for a season 3.

Something that irked me a little. When Jen had her "launch" party for her lip gloss line- Shaunie made a comment at the dinner table that this wasn't a lip gloss launch but instead like a regular dinner. Dang, that's your girl. Even when we're thinking something, we don't always have to say it. But you guys are friend so you will be alright. I don't need to catch feelings over this.
I really need for Shaunie to give me the T, if Royce is coming back for season 3. I know some of you don't like Royce, well bitchboobye, I like her. Cut her some slacks. So what if she's not a good dresser. We know this already but there are other layers to her. Ok, I'm done. Anyway, check out the fight clip. Leave me your thoughts.

Da Brat Is Free- Gives Her First Interview Post Prison!

Rapper Da Brat is a free bird after serving a two and half year sentence in prison. Brat had been sentenced to three years for going upside a waitress' head with a bottle during an outing at club. Vibe.com snagged the first interview post her release. Check it out:

Brat, welcome back! JD was tweeting like crazy about your release. Can we expect to find you on Twitter anytime soon?
[Laughs Oh yeah I’m figuring out how to work all that Twitter stuff now. I haven't been around a computer for a minute 'cause we don’t have computer access in state facilities. But JD just put me on to Global 14 and I've heard of Twitter and there’s a Facebook page with a perpetrator pretending to be me. But I don’t have a Facebook page yet! [Laughs I’ll have that and a Twitter page though by the end of the week. I don’t what my name will be yet, but I’m going to figure it all out. Twitter’s the thing to do now so I gotta get into it.

Indeed. There are a lot of folks that would lose their minds without Twitter in prison. How did you spend your days in the pen?
They had a lot of things for us to do. We went out to rec and played sports. They had auto paint and auto body, they had computer classes. It was almost like a college situation, except you can’t leave [laughs. I wrote a book. I did quite a few things. Then I became a third shift orderly where at night I stayed up with a crew of homegirls and we cleaned the showers, buffed the floors, we had our headphones on bumping our cds. We made the best of it.

How were your nights resting in a cell?
I didn’t call my room a cell. That was my suite. I had to lay my head there so I made the best of it. It was comfortable for me. Once they do inspection you gotta have it clean, but when that's done I had posters on there, everything.

Say word. Posters of who?
R. Kelly, Tyson Beckford, Tyrse… I had posters of a lot of people. Fashion stuff from magazines of things I liked. Gucci ads, the Louis ads, pictures of stuff I was planning on getting when I got out. I had pictures of Jordans. I hooked my cell out and made it look like my bedroom.

And you never got in trouble?
Nah, inspection usually happens in the morning, but once that's done it’s all you.

You mentioned writing a book and back when I spoke with your sister LisaRaye she mentioned it but wanted you to explain it once you got out. So now the stage is all yours.
Ha, it starts off talking about my life and growing up. How I was selling dope for a hot second, was in a gang for a hot second. My father was a gangster. Just different things. I was in a church playing drums. I want people to know there isn’t just one side of Brat. I’m not just a rapper. It goes through my whole life story and could possible be a movie. So I'm just putting the finishing touches on it now.

Well the sexy tomboy look is in. Are you feeling Nicki Minaj's swag?
I listened to Nicki Minaj’s album and liked it. She’s not keeping herself in a bubble. I like the diversity and that it’s working for her. Because at one point they weren’t letting female rappers do too much. It was either your selling sex or your being hard. But she gets to do both. That’s a good thing.

Safe to say you'd do a collab then?
Hell yeah I would.

Now what about her and Lil' Kim's beef?
My personal thoughts on beefing… when it’s only like 6 of us left still trying to put out records… it’s not enough for us to beef. It makes no sense to me. But if that's what they do let them do that.

How did you find out about Mariah's pregnancy?
Oh man! I talk to Mariah often and her and Nick came to see me. I knew about the miscarriage and I know she's having the twins. And I know she only wanted to do it one time. They are like the cutest couple, they both are eternally 12. I swear! They’re big kids.

Who else came out to visit you?
Of course my sister. JD couldn’t take it... He said he didn’t want to see me in that light. But he was very supportive and wrote me all the time. People talked shit but he was very supportive. Gave me everything I needed. Kat Williams came to see me. All my family and friends.

Who was most surprising visitor?
Mariah and Nick surprised me! I saw someone from their crew and said ‘Oh shit!’ I would’ve never thought that she would’ve came, she’s so girly! But that's what real friends do.

True. Were you able to write any rhymes while you were over there?
I wasn’t inspired to write because I need to hear beats in a studio. I need the thump and loud speakers. I tried to jot some ideas but focused on the book. I feel so good right now. I'm excited to be free!

And we're excited for you! What lessons are you taking with you in this new life chapter now?
A lot! I wasn’t locked up with no dummies. I learned a lot. I'm probably way more criminally minded than I was before [laughs. I’m wiser. I'm smarter. I have more patience. I learned not to take things for granted like going to the studio. Like 'Damn, I shoulda, coulda, woulda done this. When JD told me to come to the studio I shoulda went.' I gotta make up for this lost time and take advantage. 2 ½ years is a lot. And now they got me on an ankle monitor so they ain’t fucking with me! But I'm out!

Oh My D*mn! Bobbi Kristina Caught Snorting Cocaine????

Pictures of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter, Bobbi Kristina have surfaced and Lord Jesus, this isn't good. In the pics, she appears to be snorting cocaine. The pictures are in the March issue of the National Enquirer. Please note that back in the day, the National Enquirer published pictures of all of Whitney and Bobby's paraphernalia and drugs (the pictures were sold to the enquirer by bobby's sister- Whitney later admitted to Oprah that it was her stuff). So how does Bobbi Kris explains this mess? She took to Twitter and this is what she had to say:

The pictures_ a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes..But it’s really not what it looks like.. People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this. Thing’s people do these days to hurt others is a shame. My New Guilty Pleasure: Love & Hip Hop!

I can't wait for this show to premiere. Mark your calendars- March 14th it is. A few weeks ago, I announced VH1's show entitled Love & Hip Hop. Serena Williams Hospitalized!

Tennis star Serena Williams has hospitalized on Monday as a result of a hematoma.

Serena Williams is recovering at home after receiving treatment for what her agents said was a hematoma she suffered earlier this week after having treatment for a pulmonary embolism last week.

"Thank you everyone for all of your prayers, concerns, and support," Williams, 29, said in a statement released by her reps. "This has been extremely hard, scary, and disappointing. I am doing better. I'm at home now and working with my doctors to keep everything under control."

Williams, who hasn't played in a tournament since Wimbledon last summer, had no prediction about when she'd play again. "I know I will be OK, but am praying and hoping this will all be behind me soon," her statement said. "While I can't make any promises now on my return, I hope to be back by early summer. That said, my main goal is to make sure I get there safely."

The day after attending the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards party, Serena Williams underwent treatment at a Los Angeles hospital for a hematoma that resulted from a pulmonary embolism.
