The New "It" Thing---->>>>>Planking!

I had no idea what "Planking" was. I had never heard of the term until a convo with one of my homies this morning who filled me in. It seems that Planking was a trending topic on the popular social network site Twitter yesterday. Celebs such as Basketball Wives Evelyn Lozada tweeted pics of herself planking. So you ask, what is Planking?

Planking also known as the lyding down game orginated in Australia but became a fad in the US in 2011 (Twitter caught up yesterday). The lying down game (also known as planking or face downs) is an activity, popular in various parts of the world, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved (Source).

The Real Husbands of Hollywood!

This has to be on the list of everyone's highlights during last night's 2011 BET Awards, the Real Husbands of Hollywood, played by Kevin Hart, Bobby Brown, Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, Nick Cannon and none other than Basketball Wives' Tami Roman who made a cameo appearance. The sketch parodied the “Real Housewives,” series as well as “Basketball Wives,”playing on some of the funniest moments of the reality shows. Funny ish. Peep the videos at BET.com right here.

2011 BET Awards Recap and Red Carpet!

The 2011 BET Awards were held in LA last night. The event was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart who I must say was very entertaining and funny. Although, Kevin did his thang as the host, the ceremony still lacks so much. Let's cut to the chase and let me keep it real like I usually do. Chris Brown's performance was one of the best of the night. He nailed it. The boy left the stage in a back flip. He left me yurning for more. It was good to see him back on top. He won 4 awards including the Viewer's Choice Award which there was a big flub during that presentation (Sideeye to the BET execs). Jill Scott took it there with her performance and having one of the hottest eye candies on stage with her, Idris Elba definitely made me reach for some cold water and fan myself. Dayum... that dude is HAWT! Jill worked the hell out of that May West outfit. Alicia Keys performed some of her top hits. Baby girl has been in the business for 10 years. Ummm... ok, I looooooooooooove Alicia but I couldn't concentrate on her performance because her hair was so jacked up. She looked like as if she had gotten into a brawl before hitting the stage. I thought her and Swizz's ex-wife really got into it. Somebody needs to get a pink slip for that do'! Steve Harvey was awarded with the "Humanitarian Award"- I had skipped out for a few minutes so I couldn't tell you what was said. Although this morning, my mother told me that my dad looked like Steve Harvey. No mam. Moving on, Ms. Patti Labelle was honored with a special award during the evening! For the tribute, Cee-Lo walks out in full drag then drops the F bomb! Way to go Cee-Lo while honorning a legend. Smh... During her acceptance speech, Patti said Cee-Lo scared her. Ummm... ya think? Kelly Rowland performed her number 1 hit, Motivation. I have to say, Kelly finally got her shine. She did a great job. Ms. Thang was whining til she couldn't whined no more. POW! Her former bandmate, the one and only King B, closed out the show via satellite as she performed in the UK at the Glastonbury festival. Beyonce is the first African American female to ever headline that festival. Kuddos Bey! This chick is a certified rockstar. In closing, will I watch the BET Awards again? If I don't have anything to do, of course I will and I'm so amused by the comments on Twitter and Facebook, so definitely. Should they bring Kevin Hart back as a host? Absolutely! Allen Iverson And Wife Tawanna Call It Quits!

After a 10-year marriage, Tawanna Iverson has filed for divorce from husband, former NBA player Allen Iverson. This is the second time that Tawanna has filed for divorce. Back in March of 2010, Tawanna had served him with papers but then withdrew her petition.

Allen Iverson's wife, Tawanna, has filed for divorce - again - from the former Sixers messiah, days after A.I., 36, announced he wanted to return to the NBA.

Filed in Fulton County, Ga., Superior Court, Tawanna's petition says the two have been separated for some time and describes their marriage as "irretrievably broken." That's the same term she used the first time she filed for divorce on March 2, 2010. She later withdrew that petition. Iverson's lawyer, Jonathan Levine, confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Tawanna had filed for divorce but declined further comment.

After an hour of the back and forth, I was left confused as to why they got into it. If you care, visit Chris Brown's timeline on Twitter. My advice to Chris, you give people too much ammunition and that's why sometimes they get the best of you. You really need to STFU and keep it moving. Why do you give a d*mn about what these people are saying about you, on Twitter at that? If someone ain't stepping to your face then Child Bye.

I'm so over these celebrities doing the back and forth on Twitter then want to delete tweets and apologize to fans. You will never see Bey and Jay on anything like this that's why they continue to WIN!

Nia Long Is Preggo!

Actress Nia Long is expecting a second baby. The actress who turned 40 last year, was spotted vacationing in Cabo San Lucas this past week looking radiant as ever. Her baby's father is boyfriend of over a year, San Atonio Spurs player, 33-year-old Ime Udoka.

The couple released the following statement to People.com

"This is the most exciting time in our lives," Long and Udoka tell PEOPLE in a statement. "Words can’t explain how thrilled we are by the new addition to our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers."

Long is already mom to son Massai, 10, from a previous relationship, while this will be Udoka's first child.

Congrats to them!

Lauryn Hill "I'm pregnant" Rohan Marley "I'm not the father"

Do we need Maury Povich on this case? Lauryn Hill announced at a concert this past weekend that she was expecting her sixth child with her husband Rohan Marley. Six children... what a brave woman. Well, Rohan took to Twitter and denied paternity. Oh boy... Check out the exchange between him and someone:

Married to his ex-wife? Child bye! That's my people, I can confirm that he hasn't been married to his ex-wife for a very looooooooooooong time. People really need to fact check. LOL. Why would he deny the sixth child if it were his? He already has five kids with her and he never denied them. Most likely they are no longer together and everyobody is doing them.

Update: Of course, the issue was not going to die so soon. Someone tweeted why was he denying being the father of Lauryn's baby. This is what his response was:

“What’s up wit @Romarley denying Lauryn Hill tho?” Marley tweeted from his Blackberry: “I haven’t denied anyone, just somethings aren’t what they say...Respect to the mother of my children..everyone has rights. I got to be more careful about who I engage in a little conversation.. They'll twist your words into their own meanings .. Well such is life.”
